Ordering Cap and Gown from Herff Jones Company
Mr. Spud Bowen of the Herff Jones Co. will present a package deal, which will include the cap and gown, announcements, etc.  When you place your order, the deposit will be between $90-100.  Some of you may be entitled to a free cap and gown, but you must place your order in the fall if you do not wish to pay late order fees. If you order more than the cap and gown, the Herff Jones bill must be paid in full before you can receive the cap and gown.  If you do not graduate, the Herff Jones Co. will refund your money for the cap and gown.

Baccalaureate Ceremony
This is an inspirational ceremony for our seniors. Traditionally, we invite a Kendrick High School alumnus to be the keynote speaker. Senior girls must wear a white dress or white skirt with a white blouse, and white shoes (no tennis shoes, toeless, sandals, or boots) and natural hose.  Senior boys must wear black slacks, white shirt, black tie, and black dress shoes.

Mandatory Senior Parent Meeting
The Muscogee County School Board requires each school to have a meeting for the parents of all graduating seniors. These meetings take place in the spring. One will be held at 6:00 p.m. and the other one is on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. Dates TBA. Parents must sign in as they receive their Graduation booklet. If no parent attends one of these meetings, their senior will not participate in the graduation ceremony. At this meeting, the Herff Jones Co. representatives will give out the caps and gowns if payment for all ordered items is paid in full.

Graduation
Tickets for graduation will be given to graduating seniors after they practice in the KHS gym. There will be a mandatory practice at the Columbus Civic Auditorium during the week before graduation. Boys must wear black pants, white shirt, and black tie at graduation, and girls must wear a dress that is shorter than the graduation gown. Boys and girls must wear black dress shoes. Any student who does not adhere to the dress code will not be allowed to walk.

Senior Projects
Every senior must complete a senior project in his English IV class. He should have already begun his project before entering his senior year. He will write a research paper and make a presentation, which will be counted as the final exam for the class (15% of the grade).

Senior Portraits
Every senior who wishes to have his picture in the yearbook must go to LifeTouch Studios and have his picture made before the end of September. Only pictures made at LifeTouch Studios and by the deadline will be in the yearbook.
