History of the Kendrick High School facility

  • Kendrick is one of seven large high schools in Columbus, Georgia.
  • Built in 1967 located in a sparsely populated suburb on the east side of the city, Kendrick was first called Eastside High.
  • The original structure consisted of 46 classrooms with 58 professional staff members and an enrollment of 1,253.
  • The auditorium and a vocational wing were completed in 1976.
    • Kendrick now has 72 classrooms with
      • Five Business & Information Technology Education computer labs
      • One Graphic Arts lab
      • One Drafting & Design lab
      • One Academic Computer lab
      • One IMac-equipped Reading and Writing lab
