History of the Kendrick High School facility

Kendrick is one of seven large high schools in Columbus, Georgia.
Built in 1967 located in a sparsely populated suburb on the east side of the city, Kendrick was first called Eastside High.
The original structure consisted of 46 classrooms with 58 professional staff members and an enrollment of 1,253.
The auditorium and a vocational wing were completed in 1976.

Kendrick now has 72 classrooms with
- Five Business & Information Technology Education computer labs
- One Graphic Arts lab
- One Drafting & Design lab
- One Academic Computer lab
- One IMac-equipped Reading and Writing lab

The entire school was renovated in the summer of 2004 with the following improvements/additions:

New heating and air conditioning in all but the 300 wing
New paint and floors throughout
New ceilings throughout
New white boards in almost all classrooms
New bulletin boards in most classrooms
Fiber-optic computer network wiring throughout the building with over 1000 network drops

Each regular classroom has at least five network jacks and each computer lab has thirty-two jacks
