KENDRICK FBLA MEMBERS WIN AT REGION LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
On Monday, January 25th, members of the Kendrick FBLA traveled to Marion County High School in Buena Vista, GA and competed against members of other chapters in the FBLA Region Six. The following KHS FBLA members placed and will go to the State Leadership Conference in Atlanta in March: Marqueze Westbrook - 2nd in Economics, Kirra Cook, Shantoria Hollis, and Ayana Huff-Griffin - 2nd in Business Ethics, Ayana Huff-Griffin - 2nd in Personal Finance. The Business Presentation team of Jessica Bradley and Andrea McGhee won 3rd place. .

KENDRICK ACADEMIC DECATHLON TEAM WINS THIRD IN DISTRICTKendrick High School 2010 Adademic Decathlon Team with Dr. Andrews
On Saturday, January 9th, Kendrick hosted Academic Decathlon. The Kendrick Academic Decathon team placed third in the Super Quiz and third overall. Members of the team won 14 individual awards. The awards they received are listed here.

TEACHER OF THE YEAR
Ms. Cheryl Rees was selected as the Kendrick Teacher of the Year for 2010. The KHS faculty nominated faculty members for the honor, then voted for the winner from the candidates with the most votes.

This campaign is intended to get parents more involved in the education of their children. FBLA MEMBERS ATTEND FALL MOTIVATIONAL RALLY AT GEORGIA NATIONAL FAIRGROUNDS
On October 15th, members of Kendrick FBLA attended the Fall Motivational Rally at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, Georgia. Following the rally, members rode any rides they wished at the fair for the entire afternoon. There were over 8,000 FBLA members and advisers present at the rally and afternoon at the fair. Fortunately, the rain stayed away even though the sky was overcast all day.

KINNETT STADIUM INFORMATION

The following information was issued from the MCSD System-Wide Athletics Department and should be followed when attending events at Kinnett Stadium:

Coolers, outside food items, pets, and umbrellas are not allowed to be taken into Kinnett Stadium. Please use ponchos for rain protection when needed.

FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID
All graduating students need to complete their FAFSA application to apply for federal and state student grants, work-study, and loans. Click here to go to the FAFSA Web site to apply for a PIN and check status of your application. REMEMBER: You will need your parents' income tax return for the past year when completing the application. Your parents will have to be involved in the application process for you to qualify for these funds.
